I have found an absolute winner with this slow cooker loaded potato soup recipe! It is definitely a must try slow cooker soup recipe and perfect for a cold winter day.
I love loaded baked potatoes, twice baked potatoes and really any kind of potato covered in creamy cheese and topped with bacon so it was no brainer to come up with a slow cooker loaded potato soup recipe.
The best part about this loaded potato soup recipe is that it is so easy to make, just adde the ingredients and let it cook!

Slow Cooker Loaded Potato Soup
With just a few ingredients you will have a delicious slow cooker loaded potato soup waiting for you at dinner time.
Ingredients:
- 6 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp flour
Cooking Directions:
- Add potatoes, onion, bacon, and chicken broth to your favorite 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 4 hours
- Stir in cheddar cheese, milk, and flour
- Continue to cook, on high for 1 additional hour
When your loaded potato soup is finished you can serve it as is or you can top with a dollop of sour cream and chopped green onions! Love bacon? Add a few bacon crumbled to the top, too!
As a side note, you can also use packed fully cooked bacon crumbles in leu of cooking bacon yourself to add to the soup. I do this on occasion when I don’t have the extra time to pre-cook the bacon.
